YfM is honored to report that our study, the Prospective Cohort Study of an Online Yoga and Mindfulness Program for Psychological and Physical Wellness, has been accepted for presentation at the Military Health System Research Symposium (MHSRS).
Dr. Kevin Kip from the University of South Florida College of Public Health, along with YfM's Mike Fecht, will be making a presentation about the study results and methodology at this prestigious event.
The Department of Defense (DOD) hosts MHSRS annually to discuss “military-unique research and development,” focusing on military medicine. The Symposium offers an opportunity for academia to engage with program managers and DOD officials, who are often hard to reach, on military biomedical and health-related research topics.
Our study was selected from 1,942 submissions for inclusion in the Symposium, which will be held from 27-30 August 2017 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center, Kissimmee, FL.
Yoga for Men created our Yoga for Veterans program with the goal of providing free yoga, meditation, and mindfulness classes to all veterans around the world, and this is a huge step towards that goal.
